The Jeep Compass is sold in both North America and in Europe. Notice anything different with one of the trims?
US m arket above, UK market below:
Best I can guess, the US market cars of that trim can only drive North-South, while the UK cars of that trim can only drive East-West.

Marketing on point , they avoided the word “sun” in any UK trim.

Officially the coolest trim level name ever. Well, aside from the Durango Brass Monkey.

They wanted to call it an Owl but someone said that was stupid and so they went with the next best thing?

I just discovered that Night Eagle is also a brand of glow in the dark golf balls.

How about some others
Jeep Cherokee Longtitude Plus, Is there a L atitude Plus
Jeep Cherokee Stealth (I can still see it).
Jeep Wrangler Grizzly , no it isn’t.
Jeep Compass North . No mention of a South.
Jeep Renegade Opening Edition . What a boring name.

There is, in fact, a Cherokee Latitude Plus. On the Compass, we get both an Altitude trim level and a High Altitude trim level.
I kinda like that Cherokee Stealth, despite the silly trim name.

None of us at the dealership care for them, this I can assure you. They’re the 3rd from worst thing FCA has in our minds (1. is Renegade, 2. is the Journey.)
No offense to those who do like them, but that’s our opinions. The Compasses aren’t bad cars, but, I’m the son of a UAW employee, so the fact that they’re built outside the U.S. bums me a little bit (and I do make an effort to try to buy US built cars simply to avoid being a massive hypocrite- to each their own there, that’s simply an opinion rather than any comment on quality) but the only real issue is I like low end torque, and these have none.

What about the
Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice.
Come on, that’s a pretty great name.

They still(?) offer a manual, which is their only redeeming quality.
Why do you hate the Renegade? If I could afford a used manual one I’d be sorely tempted as a backup to my Wrangler (and probably would use it more often as a daily driver, given how often my Wrangler is kaput).

The manual doesn’t help. It really isn’t a good feeling manual.
As for the Renegade, I don’t like the styling feel they’re cramped, and the interiors.,.. I don’t know, they don’t necessarily feel cheap, but they don’t feel right, either. Just not something I like. To each their own.
